Taelium is the first blockchain designed to become a global reserve cryptocurrency. Each unit of its associated cryptocurrency, a Tael, meets the needs of participants in today’s modern economy, which are: fast and reliable transactions, a money supply that not only grows but also contracts according to changes in demand, and the ability to serve as a yield bearing instrument. In addition, it implements Proof of Stake as the methodology by which it propagates its blockchain.
This methodology is relatively new and was created to replace Proof of Work (mining) in blockchain systems.
